Neil Blankenbuehler, Classified Club Helper
von Tente's Diesel, Caloosha's Cash
Neil has been a GSSCSWFL member almost since the club’s founding. He didn’t know what
Schutzhund was when he and Jessie started Diesel in classes at the club, but quickly caught the
bug and began training as a helper. He proved himself to be very precise, always putting the dog’s
safety first, and members in turn put their trust in him. He feels protection brings out the best in a
dog’s personality. He attends seminars and other sessions to improve his helper skills and hopes to
earn his first classification soon. He is also preparing his young GSD, Diesel, for his BH.

Linda Tanner, Obedience Assistant
New Skete’s Dingo Zele, CGC, CD, RA, TD, & BH, Tigo vom Steinhauerberg
Although new to Schutzhund training, Linda has much experience in training and titling for AKC
events. She has been involved in AKC tracking for many years and has titled dogs to the TDX level.
Linda’s current dog, New Skete’s Dingo Zele (Zele) has earned multiple AKC titles and recently
earned a BH as well. Zele is diligently working towards her SchH 1. Linda is Kate’s main assistant in
the obedience program and brings to it a wealth of ideas and organizational skills. During classes
her "good dog!" can be heard for miles. Congratulations to Linda and New Skete’s Dingo Zele on
their BH, achieved on April 4, 2009.

Jessie Blankenbuehler, Tracking
Von Tente's Diesel, Caloosha's Cash
Jessie learned tracking basics shortly after joining the club. She loves the challenge and feels like
she can “see” the track through the dog's nose. She has a knack for lining up a clump of grass with
a distant twig to get a perfectly straight leg. She continues to enhance her knowledge and skill using
every available resource. The club can count on her to arrive at the tracking field by 6:30 every
Sunday morning. She lays her first track for her own dog, Diesel, and while it’s aging, she helps the
rest of the tracking group lay and run their tracks. Thanks to Jessie, we’re all making progress—and
we actually enjoy getting up early to be there.

Kate Lamont, Training Coordinator
Cassy vom Ruis CGC, CD, SchH1, High Five Bad to the Bone CGC, CD, SchH 1, High Five Bobby
Goren, BH, Erik of Sapphire Montain (upcoming star!)
Kate got involved with dogs by default. After finding horses too expensive and dangerous, she
went out and got a pit bull and has been trapped in the dog universe ever since. She hopes to get
out of it someday but that might not happen. She has titled many dogs in obedience and
Schutzhund. Along with her German Shepherds she also trained American Staffordshire Terriers
Happy Gang's John Henry Can. UDTX, SchH 3, FH; U-CDX High Five Joe Conrad, CDX, SchH 3,
IPO 3, NA; and High Five Concrete Blonde CDX, SchH 1, the most wonderful dog ever. We thank
her for all of her support and effort. It shows in our dogs' progress.
Congratulations Kate and High Five Bobby Goren on their BH achieved on April 4, 2009.
Congratulations Kate and High Five Bad to the Bone (George) on their SchH 1 achieved on April 5,
2009.
