| “The Dog Days of Summer” Sponsoring Project KITT (K-9’s Involved in Targeting Terrorism) Organized by Lisa Boet, Alan & Sharon Kalfus & Linda Tanner Date: Thursday, July 2, 2009 Time: Seating’s from 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm Place: Bamboo Café, 755 12th Ave South (Crayton Cove), Old Naples, FL Reservations: Please call 239-643-6177, seating is limited Map: bamboo cafe Naples Setting a patriotic mood for the 4th of July week, Bamboo Café French Home Cooking will host a canine companion dinner to celebrate Military Working Dogs and benefit Project KITT (K-9’s Involved in Targeting Terrorism) on Thursday, July 2, 2009, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The second event in “The Dog Days of Summer” series, the “Patriotic Puppy” dinner will raise awareness for Project KITT, which assists US Military Working Dog (MWD) Teams deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa and other areas of the world fighting terrorism. Well-behaved dogs are invited to attend the event and may wear red, white & blue. A prize will be awarded for the most patriotic dog. Bamboo Cafe will offer a three-course prix fixe dinner for $22.50. All proceeds from their signature cocktails served at $5.00 each will benefit Project KITT. In addition, Philip Douglas will present Juicy Crittoure products for “decadent dogs” including a new scent designed for use by both humans and dogs. Project KITT Founder, Alan Kalfus says: "This is a unique opportunity to get needed equipment directly to Military Working Dog handlers who work with patrol, explosive and mine detector dogs." If you are unable to attend, donations may be made out to "Project KITT" and mailed to 3238 Cohutta St., Port St. Lucie, FL 34953-4646. 100% of the money is used to purchase and ship needed supplies for Military Working Dogs.
